It all started with a wish on one fine day up in the skies, on a flight from Hamilton to Wellington in New Zealand, to own our own brand of honey. We wanted to create a brand that offered something magical, when held in your hand to feel delight and to inspire to live better. To top it all off, it should be authentic, fair trade and sustainable as well. Our line of honeys are all made with love and care and proudly made in New Zealand.

Sunil Pinnamaneni
The pilot steering the vision of Zealandia Honey®
After being in the industry for several years, Sunil wanted to start something of his own. His belief is to to leave the world in a better space than he found it in! His inspiration behind coming up with the very idea of Zealandia Honey®, was to create a brand that offered innovation in honey and formulations based on real results.
He has worked over 12 years in researching at least over a hundred different varieties of honey. His favourite honey is Zealandia's Silver label, a mānuka honey with MGO rating of 250mg/kg.

Sunil's partner in crime is his wife, Sri. Together they gave oxygen to the idea of Zealandia Honey, when Sunil came up with concept while flying up in the skies!
Sri overlooks the operations wing of the business. Whether it is liaising with our trusted bekeepeers or being the ambassador of the brand at the trade shows, always ensuring that the cogs of the wheel are constantly in motion.
Women empowerment and backing up women beekeepers is very important to Sri. She talks about diversity and inclusion at every opportunity presented to her. And this integral value has made its way to our core pillars of who we are, what we do and how we do it.

The creative thinker in our team and has no problem facilitating imaginary visions and let them come to life. In the role of Chief Strategy Officer, and with his background as lead auditor for integrated management systems he has a wealth of knowledge in process operations, regulations, logistics, and design strategy.
Robin's consulting work experience both within New Zealand and outside is invaluable to Zealandia Honey®.

The Origins of Zealandia Honey®
New Zealand is part of the submerged continent called, Zealandia. It was described by poets of the 19th century as a new paradise. For us at Zealandia Honey, this truly reflects the unparalleled beauty of the country, its pristine waters, its deep forests, its glorious mountains, and the great rivers and lakes. We could not give our honey a better name as it reflects the beauty, richness, and authenticity of the country it comes from.
